PIについての土木用語解説

PIとは　（ぴーあい）

土質試験の場合は、塑性指数（Plasticity Index）の略で、練り返した粘性土が塑性を示す含水比の範囲を示す指数である。
液性限界と塑性限界との差で求める。
政策系の場合、パブリック・インボルブメント（Public Involvement）の略称で、政策形成の過程で人々に参加していただく試みのことをいう。

1．PI方式とは　（ぴーあいほうしき）

パブリック・インボルブメント（Public Involvement）のことで、略称：PI。
政策形成の過程で人々に参加していただく試み。ワークショップなどもこの一環である。計画の策定、意志決定などの段階において、国民が参加できる機会を確立する方式。また、参加はアンケートなど、さまざまな手法で行う。

2．キャタとは　（きゃた）

ブルドーザーなどの履帯を指す俗語。CATERPILLARは、米国の建設機械のメーカー名。

3．キャッピングとは　（きゃっぴんぐ）

（capping）供試体に均等な荷重が加わるよう、セメントペーストなど適当な材料を用いて載荷面を平滑に仕上げること。

4．コルゲートとは　（こるげーと）

（Corrugated Pipe）たわみ性カルバートとして使用される波形の鋼製フレキシブルパイプ。大口径仮設管、骨材のサイロなどに用いられる。

5．タンピングとは　（たんぴんぐ）

（tamping）床又は舗装用コンクリートに対し、打ち込んでから固まるまでの間に、その表面を叩いて均一にし、密実にすること。

6．パイプクーリングとは　（ぱいぷくーりんぐ）

（pipe cooling）マスコンクリートなどの施工において、予めコンクリート中に埋め込んだパイプに冷水又は空気を流して、コンクリートを冷やすこと。

7．ヒューム管とは　（ひゅーむかん）

（hume pipe）遠心力で締め固めが行われ、密実で高強度の鉄筋コンクリート管。

8．供試体とは　（きょうしたい）

（test piece）各種試験を行うために所定の形状寸法になるように作成したコンクリート及びモルタルなどの試験用成型品。

9．DCIPとは　（でぃーしーあいぴー）

ダクタイル鋳鉄管
ductile cast iron pipe

強靭性に富み衝撃に強く耐久性がある。地盤の変動に追従できる。
内面のダクタイルをコーティングしてあるので、腐食しにくいが非常に重い。
国道や県道に埋設する場合はこれが主流。

上水道システムについては，水道施設耐震工法指針に準じて耐震設計が行われており，埋設管路の耐震計算には，地盤変形に基づく応答変位法が用いられている
配水管路網には，鋳鉄管(CIP)，石綿セメント管(ACP)，塩化ビニール管(VP)，ダクタイル鋳鉄管(DCIP)などが採用されている
これまでの地震被害統計から一般的に，石綿セメント管や塩化ビニール管が被害を受けやすく，ダクタイル鋳鉄管は耐震性に優れていることがわかっている

10．敷設とは　（しきせつ）

砕石等を敷き均し、転圧すること。

11．沓座とは　（しゅうざ）

沓座（くつざ）
沓（くつ）座（ざ）
理由は不明だが、沓座（シューざ）と読む場合がある。
漢字辞典等では、「沓」の読み方を、「トウ」「くつ」等と記載しており、「シュー」「しゅう」の記載は無い。

12．縦シュートとは　（たてしゅーと）

斜めシュートと違う

13．澪とは　（みお）

澪は河川だけではなく海でも使われます。海ではデルタ河口部の浅海や干潟地帯で、深さ１～５ｍ位の深さで水の流れる筋が澪筋です。船の航行できる水路として重宝されてます。干拓で澪筋を堤防で遮断する工事を澪留（みおとめ）工事と言う。

14．スポット溶接とは　（すぽっと）

スポット溶接とは、様々な溶接方法の中の1つの溶接方法です。 溶接は大きく分けて下記の3つの方法があります。 スポット溶接は、その中の「圧接」にジャンル分けされる方法で、圧力をかけるときに電気抵抗を利用して行う溶接方法です。 電気抵抗によって発熱する熱を使うので別名「抵抗スポット溶接」とも呼ばれています。

15．焼きなまし鉄線とは　（やきなましてっせん）

焼なましとは、金属をある温度点熱して除冷すると、弾性限度や強度は低下するが、伸びは増加する。これを焼なましという。鉄筋の結束線や丸太等の結束番線は焼なまししたもので、なまし鉄線といい結束しやすい鉄線となる。

16．フトン篭とは　（ふとんかご）

ふとんかごとは、角型じゃかごの事を言い、災害復旧等の現場で使用される仮設工法の一つです。
JIS規格で定められたひし形金網製のかご状構造物の内部に、自然石、砕石などを中詰めして、河川・治山等の工事に使用する伝統的工法です。

17．千鳥状とは　（ちどりじょう）

千鳥 （ちどり） 互い違いの状態、または互い違いに施工すること。 床の合板やドライウォールなどをジグザグ状に張ることで、その強度を増すことができます

18．水面接合とは　（すいめんせつごう）

水面接合は,水理学的に概ね計画水位を一致させて接合する方法である。 管きょ径が変化する場合又は２本の管きょが合流する場合には，原則として管底接合とする。 管頂接合は，流水を円滑にすることができるが，掘削深さが増加し，ポンプ排水を行う場合にポンプ揚程が増加する。

19．ダクタイル鋳鉄管とは　（だくたいるちゅうてつかん）

材料としてダクタイル鋳鉄を使用した管のこと。ダクタイル鉄管ともいう。ダクタイル鋳鉄とは、従来鋳鉄の組織中に細長い片状に分布していた黒鉛を球状化させ、強度や延性を改良した鋳鉄である。従来の鋳鉄管に変わり、水道管をはじめ、下水道、ガスなど幅広い分野に使用されている。特に水道本管(導・送・配水管)においては、日本で最も多く使われている管材である。

20．つぼ堀とは　（つぼほり）

壷掘りとは、建築物の基礎工事で、柱や束などを立てる部分だけ土を掘ること

21．えぐり堀とは　（えぐりほり）

つぼ掘りまたは溝掘りの状態から、底に近い部分のみ横に広げるような掘削をすることです。 この「えぐり堀」は、後で埋め戻しが完全に施工できないので沈下により配管や舗装の損傷につながるため、禁止されています。

22．ランマーとは　（らんまー）

土質試験においては、締め固め試験で一定の質量を一定の高さから落下させる土質試験機を指す。
